Pea Soup and 'Puppets for Peace'

After 5.30pm, the festival gets a little wilder! Join us for an evening of bold, funny and surprising Stand-up Puppetry by some local and national artists as well as a brand new work commissioned by the festival 'The Fish'. Also featuring Teatro Lambe lambe (tiny theatres), some Puppet films and a Clootie Tree for peace wishes! MC is the fabulous Eli Spark! Included in your ticket is a bowl of our famous gourmet Pea Soup and platter with a glass of wine or beer! This was one of the highlights of the Wellington Puppetry Festival 2024 so bring a group of friends and have a fabulously unique evening to remember!

Specially commissioned by the Wellington Puppetry Festival with funding from the Peace and Disarmament Education Trust: ‘The Fish’ by Joey Sheppard - a magical puppetry performance featuring giant fish puppets, shadow play, crankies and physical theatre.
