Movement and shadows can create wonderful worlds with which to enhance your shows, as backgrounds or main features. This stunning extended 2.5 hour workshop explores techniques of using 3D shadows with puppets, sets and lighting with one of Aotearoa’s top Shadow puppetry experts. If you enjoyed Rowena’s offerings at the Festival in 2024, give yourself a treat and sign up for this workshop.
We will be working with cardboard and participants are encouraged to bring craft knives, pencils, eraser, thin and thick cardboard, cutting board and anything to enhance puppets or sets eg wool, lace, small leaves or twigs. Fun!
Content warnings: The room will be in blackout at times.
